5 This resturant has a mix between portugese and international dishes. The location is beautiful with a convenient car park just a 2 minute walk away. The restaurant sits just above the beach and has an excellent view as you enjoy your meal. We were served by Paulo who was very efficient and everything had to be perfect. The food came out quickly and the large sea bass which was ordered was by far the best our company had eaten whilst in Portugal. For vegans they have a few options, I chose the vegetable curry and was not disappointed. The sauce was delicious and came in just the right portion. It would be nice to see some protein in the vegan options and maybe more on the menu. But I understand it is all about supply and demand! Overall this is a great spot for food and drinks, would definitely recommend
4 Been at Mar D'Sal a lot, this time it was basically empty due to the weather conditions, we had a fish for 3 people and it tasted very well, presentation and side dishes would need a bit more love for the food. Queen all evening was a bit too loud for our taste. Amazing view.
5 We frequent Mar d'Sal and have always had consistent quality and service. The food and the atmosphere makes this one of our favourite beachside restaurants.
5 Mar d’Sal has become one of our favorite places in the region. A lovely mix of dishes - from traditional seafood, to fusion and sushi, high quality at a decent price. Sometimes we drop by for a snack and drink after work, or a date night. The location right at the beach is amazing and the interior design suits it and provides the backdrop for a relaxed evening with good food. The staff is very attentive!
5 I don’t really understand why there are so many negative reviews about the service — our experience was excellent. Everything arrived very quickly, even though there was an event taking place in the restaurant at the time. We ordered the large octopus rice, and despite being three people, we couldn’t even finish half of it. The octopus salad was also delicious, and the bread with butter, olives, and patê was a perfect start. The passion fruit sangria was quite sweet, but overall we really enjoyed our meal.
4 Our server was well intentioned and polite but made multiple mistakes. They brought us the wrong appetizer but it looked tasty so we ate it anyways and it was delicious (octopus couscous). My date had the filet (they were out of sirloin) and I had the salmon ceviche. For the price the portion was small, but the food was delicious and the atmosphere was incredible. You can watch the ocean and surfers and waves right from your table, and it’s an excellent spot to see the sun set. If you’re looking for a romantic spot, this is it.
5 I’ve fallen in love with this place. It has a fancy, aesthetic atmosphere, great service, and tasty food. The vibe here is amazing… brunch on Saturday or dinner on Friday-it’s always good.
4 Lovely place, the decoration and location right by the beach are great. Sometimes there is live music so the atmosphere is very nice. The food is good, but it's expensive.

It’s great for both a relaxed sit-down meal and casual visits, with a cosy, trendy atmosphere by the beach.
The restaurant can get busy, especially during good weather, so visiting on less sunny days or making reservations for lunch or dinner is recommended.
